The Monitor Institute
Check Out The Working Wikily Blog
A few months back the Monitor Institute and the David and Lucile Packard Foundation released the paper, Working Wikily. It's a terrific overview of the ways that activists and philanthropists are working in connected ways -- I highly recommend it.
This week, the Monitor Institute launched a blog to further develop the ideas of collaborative, networked philanthropic action called -- naturally -- the Working Wikily Blog!
So, all pretty interesting, geeky stuff, but here's why it's important. To date, there has been an assumption that working in networked ways is similar whether you're running a business or doing social change work. But that's not true, and this is one of the first places dedicated to really understanding the network effect for social change efforts. So set your RSS feed for it -- it's very interesting.
