As we bring 2012 to a close, we at the Case Foundation pause to give thanks for the special moments we’ve shared with you, our readers, over the course of the year. While we think about ways in which to show our appreciation for others this holiday season, we hope you also will find ways to do the same. In this spirit, we have compiled a list of some of our favorite holiday items and gifts—that give back—in the hope that they might inspire even more acts of good!

Have an idea of your own? Please share it with us in the comments section!

Gift of Hope: Give the Gift of Hope and shop to stop diabetes. When you purchase gifts on shopdiabetes.org proceeds will go to the American Diabetes Association and fund diabetes research. There is an array of items to choose from on the site, including: candles, lighting, kitchen tools, cards, books, and so much more!

Bonne Mine Healthy Glow Makeup Palette: Do you know someone who would enjoy a makeup palette this holiday season? Laura Mercier has created the ‘Bonne Mine Healthy Glow’ face & cheeks color palette, which is sold at Nordstrom. All profits from the sale will be donated to the Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund, which raises awareness and funds efforts to help diagnose, treat and support women with ovarian cancer. The Bonne Mine Healthy Glow palette costs $48

(Product)RED iPod and iPod/iPhone Cases: Are you looking to buy an iPod this holiday season? Then look no further than Apple’s custom line of iPod’s, iPod cases, and iPad cases. Apple has teamed up with the RED campaign to offer these products with an added bonus. For each item sold, a portion of the profit will go to the RED campaign to provide lifesaving medicine to someone diagnosed with HIV.

UNICEF Soccer Balls: Want to send a gift this year that will truly make a difference in a child’s life? By purchasing this gift that gives back, UNICEF will send six soccer balls to children impacted by disaster or conflict, to let kids feel like kids again the best way they know how, playing!

ASPCA Store: If you are a lover of animals then browse the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals online store to find something nice for your household pet. Make sure to check out the DJ cat scratching pad for your feline friends. Forty percent of the purchase price goes directly to supporting ASPCA programs.

Headbands of Hope: Know someone who would love a new headband for the holidays? For every headband purchased from Headbands of Hope one is given to someone with cancer and $1 is donated to St. Baldrick’s foundation to fund cancer research.

Warby Parker Glasses: For every pair of glasses or sunglasses sold, Warby Parker will donate another pair to someone in need. Almost one billion people worldwide lack access to glasses. This means that 15% of the global population cannot effectively learn or work - a problem that Warby Parker is determined to address.

Good Card: Give the gift of giving! The Good Card® is a gift card with stored value that you can preload for someone. The recipient can then disperse those funds as a donation to any organization within Network for Good’s community of 1.2 million charities.

There’s still more that you can do to give back! While you’re out lifting the spirits of others don’t forget to also go #GoodSpotting with the Case Foundation.
